COAST GUARD WANTS INDUSTRY CRITIQUE OF MTS REPORT
The U.S. Coast Guard is looking for {industry} comments on seven regional summaries which assessment the development of the Transportation Division’s Marine Transportation Device record.
The MTS record, which was once launched to Congress in September 1999, opinions the standing of the rustic’s waterways and ports and their hyperlinks to the intermodal machine. Except for shipment from Canada and Mexico, greater than 95 % of U.S. overseas industry is transported via sea, and 14 % of U.S. inter-city freight is transported via water.
The regional summaries are to be had at the Web at http://dms.dot.gov . The Coast Guard mentioned feedback on those summaries from the {industry} are due via Nov. 30.
